National Lottery Heritage Fund Launch
Throughout the weekend of the 29th / 30th June, the Dorothy Clive Garden will be exploring the heritage, horticulture, and people, behind the garden through a series of specifically commissioned performances. On Saturday and Sunday at 11.30am and 1.30pm, theatre company Moonstruck Astronaut, will be staging their site-specific promenade production, Harry and Dolly: how it all started. Join the garden’s namesake, Dolly, and her devoted husband, Clive, to explore both the garden, and their enduring love (Saturday and Sunday).
Then on Sunday 30th June at 2.30pm and 3.30pm , join Mary Keith, and the Keele Women’s Choir, as they perform a choral piece, written and developed specifically for the garden by Mary Keith.
These performances are part of a larger project aimed at exploring, and preserving, the heritage of the garden, and have been made possible thanks to a grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Performances will take place outside, in uncovered areas of the Garden, so please come prepared for all weathers.
Entry is £8.50 per adult, aged 5- 17 £2 and 0-4’s are free of charge.
