SUMMARY:Summer Music Day & Alpaca Visit!
DESCRIPTION:Join us and enjoy the musical entertainment on offer\, take a stroll around the Garden\, then enjoy a drink\, a bite to eat or try one of our freshly baked scones with jam and cream whilst relaxing on the Tearoom lawn. \nOur Tearoom will be open serving a lunch menu available between 12pm and 2.30pm. Cakes and snacks will also be available throughout the day. \nWe’re excited to announce that alpacas will be in the garden for people to see and feed — a delightful addition for all ages to enjoy! \nWe will be welcoming back the group ‘The Unlawful Men’ who will be performing at 2.00pm and 4.00pm on the Tearoom Lawn. Charged with respectfully giving folk music a kick up the backside\, Ed Conway and the Unlawful Men have been on the run since 2014. Now operating as an acoustic Trio\, Ed along with Chris Walters and Ant Kitchen plead guilty to making a great big noise on a variety of instruments including guitars\, mandolin\, bodhran\, bouzouki\, harmonica and a washboard. With an inspired set of musical skullduggery that is full of surprises\, these fugitives of folk are guaranteed to get your feet tapping\, your hands clapping\, and have you singing along with their irresistible campfire anthems\, reimagined folk classics\, hand-crafted originals\, nostalgic punk covers and a few forgotten pop gems. Unique\, unconventional and unpredictable\, the Unlawful Men warrant further investigation as they continue to commit random acts of good-time folk\, one gig at a time. Catch them if you can! \nMusic will be provided throughout the day on the Tearoom Lawn by ‘DJ Dave Ball’. \nAlways popular with our members and visitors\, we will be welcoming back ‘The Rock Choir’. \nSCHEDULE OF THE DAY10.00am – Hannah Robson and the HGM students12.00pm – HGM Show Choir and the DCG Choir1.00pm – The Rock Choir2.00pm – The Unlawful Men – group3.00pm – Little Moreton Singers4.00pm – The Unlawful Men – group \nNormal entry fee applies:Adults £13Child £2 (aged 5–17)Members free of charge \nNormal entry fee applies: \nAdults £13\nChild £2 aged 5-17\nMembers free of charge \nTickets can be pre-booked via the following link:\n\n\n \nVisitors are welcome to visit on the day and pay entry at the gate.
