Support the Dorothy Clive Garden

The Dorothy Clive Garden exists today thanks to the kindness, generosity, and dedication of its supporters. As a charity, we rely on volunteers, donations, and legacies to maintain and develop this special place for future generations. Whether you choose to volunteer your time, make a donation, or leave a lasting legacy, your support ensures that the garden continues to flourish. Every contribution—big or small—helps us protect and enhance this beautiful space, keeping it open for visitors to enjoy for years to come.

Volunteer

We could not function, and thus fulfill our charitable remits, without the ongoing support and involvement of our volunteers. Our volunteers work in the garden, help in the shop, support our administration and are integral to our seasonal events management. Wherever ‘many hands make light work’ is required our volunteers will be found!

They come from all walks of life, some are retired, some are seeking new skills, some come along to support a worthwhile cause, others to meet new people and make new friends. Whatever the reason for volunteering all enjoy the experience whether as a ‘one off’ or as a regular commitment.

In Memoriam

Leaving a gift in memory of a friend or loved one is a wonderful way of celebrating their life. If you would like to make a donation In Memory of a relative or friend there are various ways in which you can do so here at the Dorothy Clive garden, including: commissioning a memorial plaque in the Belvedere Pavilion, or planting a tree in memory of a loved one.

To discuss any of the above please contact the Curator, Kathryn Robey, on 01630 647237 or email kathryn@dorothyclivegarden.co.uk for further information.

It is not uncommon for someone’s last wish to involve having their ashes scattered in a favourite place. Many choose a place to have their loved ones ashes scattered close to home, like in the garden or flowerbeds, or perhaps around a favourite tree or bush. Scattering of ashes is permitted at the Dorothy Clive Garden.
